PFL Playoffs 2022: Everything you need to know (05/08/22)

The Professional Fighters League's first playoffs of 2022 begin on Friday, August 5, with lightweight and light heavyweight fighters. Which has a lot of great fights on the card. This major event will be taking place from Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater in New York City. Here's everything you need to know about the fight card for the PFL Playoffs 2022.

The card features light heavyweight and light heavyweight semi-final bouts, with former UFC fighter Anthony Pettis competing with Stevie Ray in the card's headline slot, plus Omari Akhmedov competing with Josh Silveira.

If we talk about Ray (24-10), he shocked everyone during "Showtime" in June when he won with a twister submission, giving the former UFC champion 3 of Round 2: Forced to tap on 57. On the other hand, Pettis (25-13) will be looking to get his revenge and make his first match. The winner will play the winner of Alex Martinez vs. Olivier Aubin-Mercier in the PFL final

In the light heavyweight semi-final matches, Omari Akhmedov takes on former LFA champion Joshua Silveira and Rob Wilkinson, 2-0 in his first season, and tests his skills against Delan Monte.

As the event is scheduled to take place tomorrow, August 5, all eight postseason fighters in the PFL's first playoff event have successfully made it through the weigh-ins.
