UFC 272 is set to become the third
numbered UFC event of 2022. On Thursday, Ariadne Sports Agency, which
represents Jacobi (16-5-1), announced that light heavyweight Dustin Jacobi, who
is currently on his second tour of duty at the UFC, has his next assignment
set.
He will face Poland's Michal
Oleksiejczuk in UFC 272 on March 5, 2022. Which takes place on Saturday, March
5 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Jacobi has already announced that he will
sign a bout agreement as well as a new UFC deal.
Here's what you need to know about
UFC 272.
Since Dana White's return to promotion through
the Contender Series, Dustin Jacobi has extended his record to 4-0-1. He has
won battles against Justin Ledt, Maxim Grayson, Darren Stewart, and most
recently John Allen, with the only thing close to the spot being the draw
against Ivan Catillaba last May.
By the way, this is in stark
contrast to the original UFC run by Jacoby, who saw him post a 0-2 record
before his release. Before returning to mixed martial arts, Jacobi competed in
WSOF, Bellator MMA, and kickboxing for GLORY.
Michal Oleksiejczuk, 26, on the
other hand, has won his last two fights inside Octagon and is coming up with a
4-2, 1NC record. And last October in UFC 267 against Shamil Gamzatov won a
brilliant TKO.
Also included is another important
match aria Agapova competition, Maryna Moroz. The most interesting thing about
this match is that the two fighters do not like each other and now they will
have a chance to vent their anger on each other inside UFC 272.
Agapova (10-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Moroz (10-3
MMA, 5-3 UFC) have vented their anger on each other through interviews last
year. And they keep saying bad things to each other.
The feud erupted when Moroz accused
Agapova of using drugs and making threats against teammates at the flagship
location of the gym franchise in Coconut Creek, Fla. Agapova manager Alex Davis
later denied the allegations in an interview with MMA Fighting.
