Former Glory Kickboxing Champ Cedric Doumbe to Face Darian Weeks at UFC Paris


 

Former Glory kickboxing champion and latest ex-kickboxing standout Cédric Doumbé is making the transition from kickboxing to mixed martial arts and is soon to launch the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

 

Two-time Glory kickboxing welterweight titleholder Cedric Doumbe faces Darian Weeks at UFC Fight Night 209. which will go down on September 3 in UFC Fight Night 209.

 

Doumbe is a two-time Glory welterweight champion with five total defenses, the most being against Murthel Groenhart at Glory 77.

 

Doumbe (2-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a two-time GLORY welterweight champion, switched to MMA last October. The Cameroonian-born French fighter has won both of his professional bouts by knockout.

 

Meanwhile, Weeks (5-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) will be looking for his first Octagon win. The 28-year-old dropped unanimous decisions to Bryan  Barberena at UFC 273 in April and more recently to Ian Garry.

 

UFC Fight Night 209 is making headlines due to the heavyweight affair between former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa. In the co-main event, former 185-pound kingpin Robert Whittaker will take on Marvin Vettori.
